What is the Basic Leadership Practicum?
Have you ever asked yourself whether God has called you into leadership? Maybe you long to grow in your faith, take others alongside of you, and together build God’s kingdom. Or maybe you don’t think you are the “leadership type”. Maybe you think you’re too young and inexperienced. Maybe you think you’re not good at speaking or organizing. Even Moses and Jeremiah had these struggles. If you are ready to let yourself be used by God and to allow Him to change you, then the Basic Leadership Practicum will be a challenge and opportunity for you.
You will work on building your character and your identity as a leader. We deal with typical weaknesses in leadership; but also with your gifts and strengths.
- How do you govern yourself and lead others?

- How do you deal with crisis and conflicts?
- Asking questions and together searching for answers
- intercession
- worship
- organizing
- communication
- other cultures
- fun
- serving
- dedication
- taking on responsibility
- making decisions
- reaching your limits
… you will learn about all of this in the Basic Leadership Practicum. It runs parallel to the Discipleship Training School (DTS), so that you can practice leadership right from the beginning. After the 3-month lecture phase you will lead an outreach team into a cross- cultural setting. We want to walk with you and encourage you to grow further into what God wants to do in your life.
The next Basic Leadership Practicum
The start of the Basic Leadership Practicum is in January (Justice Discipleship Training School) or in September (Creative Discipleship Training School).
