Many children grow up in the western world without having ever heard about Jesus? They are the first descendants of a generation without God. We too, as Christians, often hold children and teenagers captive by not seeing the potential God has given them.
A generation without God? 12,000 legal abortions in Switzerland per year, 1.5 million worldwide annually. Approximately 2 million children worldwide live on the streets.
Millions of children are fleeing war and famine, are being sold into prostitution and forced child labor, are being abused, misused, and pushed aside because they are unwanted, come into contact with drugs, AIDS… not just in far away places either, but often right in our own backyard.
God made every child in His image (just as you are!). They can know God and make Him known, have a future, can change the world, are unique, irreplaceable, loved and accepted, can be God’s friend and serve in His Kingdom and have a destiny in God!
The Program of the School for Principles in Child and Youth Ministry
Time is short; let’s all act while we still have time. We can serve and help now, so that a new generation will grow. We want to enable the new generation to be ambassadors for God in all spheres of society as well as everywhere God sends them. 50% of the world’s population are waiting for you! Don’t put it off until tomorrow!

- Developing a lifestyle that is effective in ministry toward children, teenagers, and families
- Knowing and understanding God’s view of children
- Understanding the different stages of a child’s development
- Worship and Intercession with children
- Understanding preschoolers, preteens, and teenagers
- How I am influenced and how I can influence the younger generation
- Creative ministry tools to share the Gospel to children
- Counseling children
- Understanding Children at Risk and getting tools to help them
- Developing your own project or program

Facts for the upcoming School for Principles in Child and Youth Ministry 2013
When?
The lecture phase of the School for Principles in Child and Youth Ministry will be from 14 April till 4 July 2013. Followed by voluntary international outreaches.
Where?
Wiler is located almost exactly in the middle between Bern and Biel/Bienne in Switzerland. To both cities there is a driving distance of about 18 km. Wiler is a rather “scattered” village, and consists of several parts. It is a village where “everybody knows everybody” and where you always find opportunities for a litte conversation or for giving someone a helping hand.
The main impression of Wiler is that of a farming village, but in the meantime the majority of people living here are not involved in farming anymore.

How much?
The PCYM costs CHF 3’300 for the first (teaching) phase, incl. accommodation, food and school fees. The costs for the voluntary International outreach will depend on the outreach destination and on the length of the outreach.
