What is the School of Biblical Christian Worldview?
This school gives insight into the thinking behind current social and political changes. We want to come to terms with the prevailing trends and worldviews, tackle current sociological issues and look at their historical and philosophical origins.
To have a biblical worldview means to see the world “through God’s eyes”. If you want God to challenge you to have clearer vision, the SBCW is the right place for you. We believe that God and His Word is the standard which should form us and our value system.
In the SBCW we want to help you to closely examine your worldview – the conscious or unconscious beliefs you hold which form the basis for your life and actions. Discover what has formed you and the society in which you grew up.
The Good News of Jesus Christ is about much more than personal salvation. We believe that a biblical view of reality is effective in all areas of society. It generates and transforms life – and it transforms society! We want to discover how we can meet the challenges of the 21st Century with a perspective of hope.
Do you know what you believe and why? And what you do not believe and why? Are you a leader or are you led by others and their convictions?
In the SBCW we want to question our perspective and come to terms with the biblical understanding of reality. On the basis of this, we want to train Christians to be able to take responsibility in all areas of society and life (Family, Business, Media, Politics, Sports, etc.).
UofN: This course can meet the Humanities and Science core requirements for a bachelor’s degree, and therefore may be taken in place of HMT/SCI 211.
